Our City, Our Future
Our city is failing its residents. On housing affordability, on homelessness. On transparency and listening to the people. On efficient and fair regulation. Many people feel that there’s special treatment for certain developers and that too many decisions get made behind closed doors. Public trust is broken. A life-long Vancouverite well-known and respected for his community advocacy work and engagement in the pressing issues facing our city, Pete Fry's election as the second Green city councillor alongside Adriane Carr will be a game changer.
Trust needs to be rebuilt at the Vancouver School Board and Green Trustees will always make decisions in the best interests of students and will ensure a respectful workplace for all employees. With a new provincial government and a landmark Supreme Court ruling restoring hundreds of teaching positions Green Trustees will work collaboratively to ensure excellence in learning and good stewardship of our city's public school system.
Public interest must come first. As Greens, we’re committed to a better future for our city: an inclusive, equitable, and sustainable future. We’re committed to a city that values our residents, our economy, and our environment.
